Experience the best of Sevilla while studying abroad

Sevilla, the capital of Andalusia, blends centuries of history with a lively, modern lifestyle. With about 700,000 residents, the city is dynamic yet approachable, making it an ideal setting for study abroad.

The city is also famous for its flamenco, festivals, and cuisine, all of which create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. For students, Sevilla provides the perfect balance between tradition and modern life—a safe, engaging environment where practicing Spanish and discovering local culture happen every day.

Plaza de España

Constructed for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, the Plaza de España exemplifies Spain’s architectural blend of Renaissance Revival and Neo-Mudejar styles, symbolizing unity among the nation’s provinces.

Seville School of Dramatic Arts

18th-century building known for being a breeding ground for great performers such as Pablo de Olavide

La Giralda and Cathedral of Sevilla

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the cathedral and its iconic tower embody the city’s transition from Islamic to Christian rule and represent one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Europe.

Baños de Doña María de Padilla (Alcázar of Sevilla)

Located beneath the Alcázar’s royal residence, these vaulted baths reflect medieval Moorish craftsmanship and the enduring legends surrounding Queen María de Padilla

Metropol Parasol (Las Setas)

Completed in 2011, this innovative wooden structure by architect Jürgen Mayer merges modern engineering with public space design, redefining the heart of Sevilla’s historic center.

Torre Sevilla

Completed in 2016, Torre Sevilla rises 180 meters above the Guadalquivir River as a symbol of the city’s forward-looking urban development and economic vitality.

HOUSING

Living with a host family is one of the most rewarding parts of the program.

Living with a host family is one of the most rewarding aspects of the program. Students enjoy room, meals, and laundry service, while gaining daily opportunities to practice Spanish and experience local traditions. Our housing coordinator carefully matches each student with a family based on preferences, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment. For many, this immersion becomes one of the highlights of their time abroad.

For those seeking a more independent lifestyle, some programs also offer residence halls. These provide private or shared rooms, communal kitchens, and social spaces where students can connect with Spanish peers and enjoy a convenient, community-based living experience in Sevilla.

Health & Safety

Student safety is our top priority. Before departure, students receive guidance on health, safety, and cultural expectations, followed by an on-site orientation in Sevilla. The city is generally very safe, with a welcoming atmosphere and low crime rates, but students are encouraged to practice smart habits and stay aware of their surroundings. EAS staff are always available to provide assistance in case of an emergency.

All students are covered by comprehensive health insurance during their stay, valid throughout Spain and Europe. If medical care is needed, our team helps arrange appointments and provides translation and support as necessary. Prescription medications are the responsibility of the student but are usually more affordable in Spain than in the U.S.
