Fall Semester (Aug–Dec)
Program Snapshot
A full, immersive semester combining classroom teaching with a curated lineup of cultural activities and excursions. Programs typically include guided visits to the Cathedral, Reales Alcázares, Italica, Córdoba, and Cádiz, plus overnight trips to Granada and Toledo/Madrid. Students also enjoy hands-on experiences such as a tile workshop, a flamenco show, regular language-assistant sessions, conversation partners, and 1–2 faculty-selected activities coordinated with our local staff. All entrance fees, transportation, and faculty costs for official activities are included.
Academic Structure
Faculty receive dedicated classroom space (45 contact hours per 3-credit course) equipped with projectors, PCs, sound systems, and whiteboards, along with shared office access and basic supplies. EAS can assist with course materials as needed and provide additional teaching services if required. Faculty teach the credit load mandated by their home institution, while EAS manages all local legal and fiscal responsibilities. Options for local teaching also available.
Seasonal Highlights
Fall is Sevilla’s “sweet spot” — warm riverfront afternoons, crisp evenings, and a vibrant cultural calendar featuring Festival de las Naciones, Noche en Blanco, and the European Film Festival. A larger international crowd and active local community make it easy for students to join clubs, attend events, and build connections. Internship opportunities (including medical shadowing) are available for departments that want experiential learning.

All official visit fees, transportation, and faculty costs are covered.

A high-impact, one-week immersion built to complement a spring semester course on your home campus. Typical itineraries include guided visits to the Cathedral, Reales Alcázares, Córdoba, and an overnight trip to Granada with an additional night in Madrid. In a Spring Break program designed around Dance, for example, students experience two flamenco shows (including one in the historic Sacromonte caves), a day trip to Jerez for the equestrian exhibition, a visit to the Museo del Baile Flamenco, two flamenco/sevillanas dance classes, and a guest lecture tailored to the course.
Academic Structure
Spring Break programs can be designed to integrate directly with an existing course taught on your campus throughout the semester. The faculty leader serves as instructor of record, and credit is awarded by the home institution. EAS provides fully equipped classroom and meeting spaces for pre- or post-travel sessions as needed, along with on-the-ground academic coordination and optional support for course materials.

Summer in Sevilla is vibrant, fast-paced, and perfectly suited for focused academic programs across a wide range of disciplines. Programs range anywhere from 10 days to 8 weeks. Core excursions often include visits to the Cathedral, Reales Alcázares, Córdoba, Granada, Itálica, and major museums, alongside flamenco performances, group meals, and local cultural activities. We can include tailor-made activities for any academic focus, such as:
- Education: 20+ hours of guided teaching in local schools.
- Criminology: courthouse visit and guest speakers, such as a judge and director of a juvenile detention center.
- Business: Spanish Stock Exchange visit in Madrid.
- Human Science: Pre-Health guest speakers, visits and collaboration with local NGOs.
- Agriculture: Olive oil farm, local winery and industry visits.
- Engineering: Opportunities abound as Sevilla is a hub for Aerospace Engineering.
